Lost your phone? Let's find it.
Answer three quick questions and we'll send you to the right official tool, with exactly what to press.
1. What phone is it?
2. What happened?
3. Is it switched on?
Stolen? Do these five things, in order.
Speed matters more than anything else. Lock it before the thief can switch it off or reset it.
Lock it
Use Lost Mode or Secure device so nobody can use it, and show a number to call.
Block the SIM
Call your carrier. They can block your number and the phone's IMEI on their network.
Report it
File a police report with the phone's IMEI number. Insurers usually need it.
Change passwords
Email first, then banking and social apps that were signed in on the phone.
Erase, last
Only when you're sure it's gone. After erasing, you usually can't see it on the map.
Whatever happened, start here
Most lost phones are found within the hour. These guides cover the harder cases.
Step-by-step guide for your phone
Each guide shows the official tool, what to press, what works when the phone is off, and what to do if it's stolen.
Five minutes now saves the panic later
If your phone is safe in your hand right now, this is the best time to set it up.
- Turn on finding. Find My on iPhone, Find Hub on Android, plus Samsung Find on Galaxy phones.
- Allow finding while offline. So it can still be found with no signal or when it's off.
- Write down your IMEI. Dial *#06# and keep the number somewhere safe.
- Use a screen lock. A PIN, pattern or password, which offline finding also needs.
- Back up your photos. The phone can be replaced. Your photos can't.
Common questions
Can this website find my phone?
No website can see your phone's location except the official service from its maker, and only after you sign in. We tell you exactly which one to use and what to press, then send you there. It takes about ten seconds.
Can I find my phone if it's turned off?
Often, yes, for a while. Recent iPhones stay findable for about 24 hours after being switched off. Pixel 8 and later can be found for several hours. Otherwise you'll see the last place it was online. Details for every phone.
Can I track a phone with just its number?
No. Sites that promise this are scams or collect your data. Only your carrier and the police can work with numbers and IMEIs. Here's what actually works.
What if I don't know my Apple or Google password?
Recover it first on the official account page (Apple Account or Google Account). Recovery often sends a code to a trusted device or a backup email, so try on a computer or a family member's phone.
Should I erase my phone right away?
No. Lock it first. Once you erase it, you usually can't see its location anymore. Erase only when you're sure it isn't coming back.
