Find your Galaxy from any browser
- Go to smartthingsfind.samsung.com (or samsungfind.samsung.com).
- Sign in with the Samsung account that's on the phone.
- Select your phone in the list on the left. Its location shows on the map.
Samsung phones also work with Google's Find Hub at android.com/find. If you don't remember your Samsung account, try that first.
What you can do
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Ring | Plays the ringtone for one minute, even on mute or vibrate. |
| Track location | Updates the location every 15 minutes, useful if it's moving. |
| Lock | Locks it with a PIN you choose, with an emergency contact and a message on screen. |
| Extend battery life | Turns on maximum power saving so it stays findable longer. |
| Erase data | Factory resets the phone. Use it last. |
When does it work?
The phone needs a Samsung account and these switches on, under Settings › Security and privacy › Lost device protection:
- Allow this phone to be found
- Send last location, which saves where it was just before the battery ran out
- Offline finding, so nearby Galaxy devices can help locate it when it has no internet
If the phone is off, you'll see the last known location.
If it was stolen
- Lock it right away and turn on Extend battery life.
- Call your carrier to block the SIM and IMEI.
- File a police report with the IMEI (on the box, your invoice, or in Find Hub on android.com/find).
- Change your Samsung and Google passwords.
- Erase only when you're sure it's gone.
Samsung's own advice: don't go to a stolen phone's location yourself. Contact the authorities.
Next time, it takes ten seconds
Turn on your phone's finding features today, and put a small Bluetooth tracker on the things you lose most, like keys, wallet and bag.
